PRIME PMG secures BPM contract with QLD Department of Environment and Resource Management

PRIME PMG has recently secured a contract with the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) to conduct business process mapping and develop a business requirement specification to upgrade the legacy system. The project has started this September 2010.

DERM is a government agency that is responsible for the management and conservation of the environment and natural resources throughout the state of Queensland. The department has plans to upgrade a software system called "EcoTrack" but in order to understand the requirements associated with this, it needs to look into the annual returns and annual fees for environment-related activities. In the process, the department needs to possess a good understanding of its current processes. Likewise, future state process maps need to be developed so as to create the scope to upgrade the EcoTrack system.

PRIME PMG was engaged by DERM to undertake business process mapping to capture and model current state processes, and define the issues and improvements associated with these processes. Based on the issues and improvements, PRIME PMG will be able to develop the future state process maps, and the business requirement specification to upgrade EcoTrack.
